In just a little more than a week-and-a-half, Azle residents will return to Ash Creek Park for the ultimate runner’s high experience: the Azle Lake Run.
Hosted by the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance, the 44th annual event will kick off Saturday, Nov. 8, with the 10K (6.2-mile course) set to begin at 8 a.m. The 5K (3.1 miles) will follow at 8:10 a.m. and the One-Mile Color Fun Run will start at 8:17 a.m.
“All the races start and finish at the same location, down in Ash Creek Park,” AAMA President Alton Davis told The Azle News. “The 10K is going to be a really nice route this year. It takes the runners down to Oak Harbor, and they get a glimpse of the lake. We felt that was important that people at least be able to, during their run, that they get an opportunity to go and see part of the lake.”
