The Parker County Extension Education Association is proving that its dedication to strengthening and enriching families is unmatched — especially when it comes to volunteering.

During a Parker County Commissioners Court meeting Oct. 27, association Chairman Karen Rutherford announced that within the three different clubs in the county, volunteers for the association contributed more than 2,000 hours of service this year.

“These ladies put in a lot of time and effort to make it (Parker County) a better place,” Rutherford said. “These little clubs put in 2,162 hours of volunteer time, so they’re doing a great service to our community.”
