Council chambers may have been the same, but the atmosphere was entirely different.
On Monday, Oct. 27, city officials and residents met to discuss upcoming projects, renovations and to deliberate the transition from a general law city to a home rule city.
While the previous two meetings were heavy with conflict and opposition, Monday’s gathering seemed to give an air of positiveness. Council member Edward Payne continued that sentiment when he initiated proceedings thanking the public works department for its hard work during last week’s storm.
