On Friday, Oct. 24, Hoover Elementary hosted its first annual Rolling Chair Parade to celebrate homecoming, giving fifth and sixth graders the chance to show off their creativity, teamwork and school spirit. Students transformed everyday rolling chairs, carts and even trash cans into colorful, themed parade floats that rolled through the school’s gym and cafeteria.

The idea of doing a Rolling Chair Parade was introduced by current Hoover Elementary Principal Logan Enis, who saw it at one of the Decatur middle schools where he taught a few years ago.

The event aligned closely with the school’s focus on teamwork and collaboration.
