Steve Stutsman never intended to have three different careers in his lifetime, but whether he was wearing combat boots, a police badge or a classroom lanyard, there was one goal that has always stayed the same — serving.

As a retired veteran, police officer and teacher, Stutsman was never one to take the easy route — a mindset that first led him to enlist in the U.S. Air Force while he was still in high school.

“Almost all of my career was in the munitions field, and the easy way to describe that is I loaded bullets and bombs on airplanes,” he said.
