Azle Youth Sports introduced an adult flag football league as part of a new effort to raise funds for improvements at Stinger Field. Organizers said the league offers a fun way to bring the community together while supporting long-term facility upgrades. Event organizer Jeremy Doyle says “all teams are full, we had an incredible response and registration is closed.”
The league is open to adults across the area, and early interest was incredible. Former athletes trying to re-live their glory days is always good for a few laughs. Games will be held at Stinger Field beginning Nov. 21 and run through Jan. 9, with league proceeds earmarked for enhancements benefiting the hundreds of youth athletes who use the complex each year. Game times are set for 6 p.m.
