Azle High School head football coach Devon Dorris confirmed Thursday, Nov. 20 that he has been informed he will no longer serve as the Hornets head coach. Dorris, an Azle High School graduate, said he has been reassigned within the district.
Dorris has spent 23 years coaching in Azle, including 16 seasons at the helm of the Hornet football program. During his tenure, he became the winningest head coach in Azle football history and helped guide the program through some of its most successful eras.
The district has not yet announced plans for filling the position.
