Azle Hornet boys basketball is off and running in the 2025–26 season as head coach James Crafton begins his 10th year leading the program. The Hornets have shown fast starts in both early contests, but late-game swings have resulted in two narrow losses.

Azle opened the year Saturday, Nov. 15, on the road at Lake Dallas, falling 56–54. Bryce Robinson led the Hornets with 17 points, while Cason Cook added 16.

On Tuesday, Nov. 18, the Hornets hosted Garland Lakeview Centennial for Teacher Appreciation Night. Once again, Azle found itself in a tight battle, but the visitors edged out a 55–53 win. Jaden Taylor paced the Hornets with 19 points, and Cook continued his strong start with another 16.
