With a performance as memorable as the Bubble Bowl, Azle High School’s theatre department put on a show-stopping SpongeBob musical Nov. 20-24 — a performance so full of heart it would’ve made even Squidward crack a smile.

This stunning all-singing, all-dancing dynamic show took attendees on a one-of-a-kind sea adventure that brought Bikini Bottom to life — straight out of a SpongeBob SquarePants episode.

In “The SpongeBob Musical,” SpongeBob and his friends had to come together to save the fate of their undersea world when they discovered that a volcano would soon erupt and destroy their humble home. With lives hanging in the balance and all hope lost, a most unexpected hero rose up — proving that the power of optimism really can save the world.
