The city of Azle is experiencing cool relief — literally — with utility bill savings of approximately $54,000 over the past year-and-a-half.

Last May, the city contracted with environmental services company Ideal Impact Inc. to reduce HVAC energy costs for Azle City Hall, Azle Memorial Library and Azle Police Department — city services that had accumulated a combined electricity fee of $109,000 annually prior to entering the contract.

At that time, Ideal Impact had estimated the city could reduce electricity billing by approximately $40,000 annually by implementing this project — and that’s exactly what happened.
