Azle Christian School hosted its annual basketball tournament Dec. 4–6, and despite limited preparation time after its state semifinal football run, the Fighting Crusaders impressed with a competitive weekend on their home court.
Head coach Ryan Rollins said the team entered the tournament far from full strength.
“We are pretty beat up having a long football run and having nine out of 10 varsity kids play football, and three starters currently out for a few more weeks,” Rollins said.
