While many of our 2026 New Years’ resolutions may not come to fruition, those hoping to “Eat Mor Chikin” may get their wish sooner than expected.

The news that a Chick-fil-A will soon be making its way to Azle first broke in June, when a posting by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation showed the popular chicken chain will set up shop at 417 Northwest Parkway next year.

However, while that listing showed the project would start construction next May and finish in October 2026, a recent interview with Economic Development Director David Hawkins proved the timeline is moving much faster than initially anticipated.
