Santa Claus took time out of his busy schedule and away from his elves earlier this month when he visited the Azle Memorial Library for an evening of holiday cheer, snowy surprises and picture-perfect memories.
On Tuesday, Dec. 9, library staff hosted Santa At Your Library, an event where children were able to make holiday-themed crafts, experience the rare sighting of snow in Texas and feast on delicious Christmas treats — all while getting the chance to meet and take a photo with Santa himself.
Ava Bryant, children’s services librarian, said this is the first year for the library to host an event quite like this — especially one with real snow.
