For Myriam Gonzalez, the reporter who covers just about everything for the Springtown Epigraph, pursuing journalism was something she always knew she wanted to do.
“It was the only thing I was good at. It was just naturally an escape for me. I was never really good at communicating verbally. So, everything that I felt, I just put it on paper, and it was just easier for me,” Gonzalez said.
Gonzalez was born in Grand Prairie and spent the majority of her life in Texas moving around, an experience that shaped her appreciation for the sense of connection local journalism provides.
