A busy day for first responders

A rollover on a residential street was followed by a wind-whipped grass fire and another wreck on State Highway 199 in quick succession Friday, Dec. 19, keeping area first responders hopping.

The three incidents all happened in the span of an hour and four minutes.

Only minor injuries were reported when a vehicle apparently struck a mailbox and rolled over in the 800 block of James Street just before 1:30 p.m. An accident report was not yet available by press time.
