The 44th annual Azle Lake Run not only provided a fun and some healthy competition for almost 400 people — 399 people, to be exact — but now, proceeds from the event will go to help several local nonprofit organizations as well as two school-related initiatives.

Members of the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance gathered Tuesday, Dec. 9 at Lighthouse Harbor Church in Pelican Bay for the alliance’s monthly luncheon, which was catered by local favorite Caitlyn’s Catering. The church’s pastor, the Rev. Josh Tollison, delivered a message that was received with appreciative applause and many an “Amen!”

Before the luncheon ended, AAMA President Alton Davis, along with organization’s directors and coordinator, presented checks derived from the proceeds of the 2025 Azle Lake Run.
