Students competing in the Azle Independent School District Science Fair may have used cardboard boxes for their project displays, but their ideas were completely outside of the box in terms of creativity — at least, in the eyes of Gifted and Talented teacher Breanna Reed.
“(I’m so proud of) the way that they’re taking ownership over their learning and their out-of-the-box thinking with their projects,” Reed said. “My favorite part is just watching the kids excel and watching them be proud of themselves.”
On Wednesday, Feb. 4, a total of 30 elementary science fair winners from each Azle ISD campus visited the district’s administration building for a chance to showcase their ingenuity skills and compete at the district-level science fair.
