Azle resident Jamie Torgesen may not consider herself to be a tried-and-true country gal, but she knew enough to know that the birth of five Nigerian dwarf goats was nothing to “kid” about.
While the entire town of Azle was dealing with the effects of icemageddon last month, Torgesen and her family were left “hoofin’ it” trying to round up blankets and heat lamps for their goat, Jovie, and her quintuplets.
According to several news outlets, the odds of a Nigerian dwarf goat giving birth to quintuplets is an extremely rare occurrence — about a one in 10,000 chance.
