League on the rise: Adult flag football boosts Azle Youth Sports programs
Team Moore won the inaugural adult league flag football Gold Division championship.

What began as a creative fundraising idea last fall has turned into a winning effort for Azle Youth Sports.

In November 2025, Azle Youth Sports Vice President Jeremy Doyle announced the launch of an adult flag football league aimed at raising money to improve facilities at Stinger Field. Just two months later, the inaugural season concluded with championship games played Jan. 16 at the Stinger Field.

“We’ve been looking for creative ways to raise funds and make real improvements to the facilities at Stinger Field,” Doyle said when the league was announced. “Launching an adult flag football league felt like a great opportunity to bring the community together while supporting those goals.”
