The Azle Lady Hornets wasted little time Tuesday night, Feb. 17, soundly defeating Aubrey 13-3 at Jim Bob Nation’s Field of Dreams.
Azle jumped out to an early lead in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back. Lilliana Johnson opened the scoring with an RBI double before Madison Holleman followed with a base-clearing single to give the Lady Hornets a 4-0 advantage.
Holleman, Azle’s left fielder, finished 2-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in.
