Whoever said senior citizens are too old for prom has clearly never seen a second-chance dance quite like the Forever Young Senior Prom held at Legacy Oaks of Azle Feb. 26.

As the afternoon festivities began — because this bunch certainly wasn’t waiting until 8 p.m. to have its fun — the room quickly filled with those eager to get their perfect prom picture and dance the 5 p.m. blues away.

With Azle Senior Activity Center’s Amanda Scott serving as the energetic DJ for the evening, attendees were fired up and ready to bust a move from the get-go. All throughout the event, attendees let their inner teenagers shine. From doing “The Twist” to dancing down a conga line, seniors were brimming with excitement as gentlemen led their gorgeous dates onto the dance floor and ladies giggled and smiled like schoolgirls around their very first crush.
