The Springtown Lady Porcupines shut out the Azle Lady Hornets 6-0 Tuesday, Feb. 24 at Jim Bob Nations Field of Dreams, handing Azle a tough loss in varsity action.
Azle’s starting pitcher Fallon Inglet worked through a challenging night in the circle, allowing six hits and six runs while issuing four walks and surrendering two home runs. Inglet also struck out seven Porcupines, showing resilience despite the tough Springtown lineup.
Offensively, the Lady Hornets managed a handful of hits but were unable to capitalize. Lilliana Johnson led Azle at the plate with two hits, including a double in the bottom of the first inning. Bella Robles, Inglet and Madison Holleman each added a hit, but Azle could not push a run across.
