Third grader holds her own at stock show
Third grader Madison Lankford showed off her fourth-place ribbon last month at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

Madison Lankford may only be in the third grade, but she already knows how to handle a big stage.

The Hilltop Elementary student made her debut at the world-famous Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo last month and came away with an impressive fourth place finish out of 14 competitors in her class.

Competing against more experienced exhibitors, Lankford and her breeding heifer, Fancy, enjoyed a strong showing at one of the most competitive junior livestock events in the country.
