Some of Azle Independent School District’s brightest are proving that when it comes to science, they don’t just talk the talk; they walk the walk — and then some.

After being declared the science fair winners of their respective grade levels, approximately 30 elementary students from all eight campuses visited the district’s administration building Feb. 4 for a chance to showcase their ingenuity skills and compete at the district-level science fair.

From projects good enough to eat like, “What method keeps apples from browning” and “Which brand (of popcorn) pops the best,” to live demonstrations like bubble blowing and battery testing, these students proved they have science — well, down to a science.
