Hornets fall in close match on Azle Youth Soccer Night
Senior Tyler Diffie comes in hot to block the shot against Granbury.

The Azle Hornets boys’ soccer team dropped a hard-fought 2-1 decision Tuesday, March 3, at Hornet Stadium during a special Youth Night celebration.

Azle’s lone goal came from Rendon Stephens, who finished an assist from Diego Lira to put the Hornets on the board.

The evening was highlighted by strong community involvement as Azle head coach John Epps, in partnership with the Azle Soccer Association, hosted Youth Soccer Night. Young players from the local program were recognized and took the field at halftime to play mini games in front of the home crowd.
