Parker County jurors heard from two deputies, who testified they began pursuing Carrillo as he fled from the scene of a domestic violence call in a vehicle matching the description given by the 911 caller. They described how he fled north from Weatherford on Farm-to-Market Road 730 South at speeds over 120 mph for about 10 minutes during heavy traffic. As he neared Azle, Carrillo nearly struck several cars as he drove into oncoming traffic and passed vehicles on the shoulder.
