If you think Azle High School is busy during a typical evening of after-school activities, you haven’t seen anything like the district’s semiannual Showcase March 12.
Even at 5 p.m. — before the event officially kicked off at 5:30 p.m. — a crowd was already starting to form just inside the doors of the school, with parents, students and school personnel eager to get the “Showcase” on the road.
By the time the event was fully underway, approximately 1,000 attendees had made their way through the doors, taking their time to explore a total of 181 student projects on display — the most the event has ever featured before.
