Students in Azle Independent School District are making history in terms of their academic success, with every grade level now outperforming the nation in math, reading and science — a first for the district.

Jordan Thiem, director of secondary curriculums, presented the middle-of-the-year MAP growth report to the AISD board of trustees Feb. 23. Since 2021, the district has used MAP growth data to measure student achievement and academic growth in math, reading and science.
