Azle High School freshman Zaylyn Woods continues to make waves on the national wrestling stage.
Woods captured the championship at the 16U Junior Folkstyle Nationals in Fort Wayne, Indiana March 12-15, earning a national title against some of the top young wrestlers from across the country. The prestigious event features elite boys and girls competitors and serves as the first leg of USA Wrestling’s coveted Triple Crown.
Competing against a deep field of talent, Woods proved she belongs among the nation’s best, adding a national championship to an already impressive freshman campaign.
