The Lady Hornet soccer team was well represented when the District 5-5A All-District superlatives were announced for the 2026 season.
Despite finishing runner-up in district play to Aledo, Azle earned one of the district’s top honors as senior goalkeeper Emma Nelson was named the district’s Most Valuable Player. Nelson, who is committed to play college soccer at the University of Central Arkansas, anchored the Lady Hornet defense throughout the season.
Azle also placed several players on the All-District First Team. Seniors Lily Hudman and Yasmeen Tejada earned first-team honors along with junior Rachel Harder and sophomore Kimberly Licerio.
