The city of Pelican Bay hosted its annual Easter egg hunt Saturday, March 28, drawing families from the city and neighboring communities to a lakeside setting where children searched for eggs along the bay.
Families gathered throughout the area, some cooking out while others spent time at the playground. Police and fire personnel attended, giving children the opportunity to take photos with patrol and fire vehicles, including a vintage Dodge patrol car. Music played in the background as attendees moved throughout the event.
The mayor and volunteers also distributed free sandwiches and chips from an Easter-decorated wagon for all attendees to enjoy. Children also received free stuffed animals that had been donated.
