This year’s Azle Easter Eggstravaganza didn’t “eggactly” go according to plan, but there was still a “hoppy” ending for every egg hunter in attendance.
For the second year in a row, the annual egg hunt hosted by the Azle Police Officer’s Association had to be pushed indoors to Azle High School’s indoor practice field April 4, due to rainy weather — the same reason that led to last year’s change of plans for its inaugural event.
Despite the unexpected location shift, the practice field was packed about 30 minutes before the hunt started, as children of all ages gathered around the field eager to get their hands on the multicolored eggs strewn about the green turf.
