SOFTBALL
The Lady Hornet varsity lost to Fossil Ridge 12-8 Tuesday, March 31. Maddison Holleman hit an inside-the-park home run in the second inning scoring two runs; she tripled in the sixth inning and singled in the seventh inning. The Lady Hornets scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but it was not enough. On Thursday, April 2, the Lady Hornets trounced Saginaw at Jim Bob Nation’s Field of Dreams with a score of 10-0. The Lady Hornets scored six runs in the third inning to put the game out of reach. Adalyn Kripner earned the win giving up only one hit and no runs over five innings. Sophomore Bella Robles and senior Brianna Zalesky each had two hits to lead the Lady Hornets.
BASEBALL
Varsity had a tough week. On Tuesday, March 31, the Hornets lost to Granbury 5-4. Martin Balderas pitched six strong innings striking out four, walking just one, and had only two earned runs. Tyler Hicks and Henry Rosales had two hits each. Mason Holleman, Garin Bissonnette and Nolan Meitz each had one hit. On Wednesday, April 1 the Hornets traveled to Granbury for their return district match-up. The Pirates were tough at home dropping the Hornets 12-2. Kaden Haas had a home run and a walk. Garin Bissonnette had two hits, while Tyler Hicks and Mason Hollemann had one hit each.
JV Green tied its game with Granbury and JV White lost to Granbury.
TRACK AND FIELD

TENNIS
The mixed doubles duo of Christian Tomlinson and Story Hilliard placed second at the 2026 District 5-5A tennis tournament. The silver medal team qualified for the Region 1 tennis tournament.
