Azle ISD invites the public to honor the legacy of Azle Junior High from 5-6:30 p.m. Monday, April 27 at 201 School St. during the Azle Junior High Campus Tour & Walk Down Memory Lane. Walk down the halls, tour AJH one last time and reminisce about the moments that were shared at the original campus.

After the campus tour and walk down memory lane concludes, two alumni from ’69, DiAnne Perkins and Jim Magnuson, invite the AHS alumni who graduated in the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s to meet up at the old football field behind the school to come hangout, sing the AHS alma mater and take a group photo. Attendees are encouraged to wear old letterman jackets and to help locate other alumni from their time frames.

Azle Junior High was built in 1953 and first served as a high school before becoming a junior high in 1970. After 73 years, the original campus is being replaced with a new sixth- to eighth-grade campus while utilizing the two existing gymnasiums.
