The Azle High School boys and girls track teams turned in strong showings at the 2026 District 5-5A Track and Field Championships held April 9-10 at Aledo High School, with numerous athletes advancing to the area round.
Leading the way for the Hornets was Channing Ervin, who qualified for the area meet in the 400-meter dash after posting a time of 53.53 seconds. Azle’s sprint relay team also advanced with a fourth-place finish.
The Lady Hornets qualified several athletes for area competition.
