The Hispanic Wellness Coalition will host its annual Primaveral Health Fair Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 404 Main Place, 404 Main St. in Azle.
At this year’s health fair, families can take advantage of free health screenings, services and resources provided by dedicated healthcare professionals. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with organizations like PNC Bank for guidance on money management, and WIC — Women, Infants and Children —for support programs tailored to families. Available services will include mammograms, HIV blood testing, prostate screenings and more. All screenings will be conducted in a private and secure setting.
The Hispanic Wellness Coalition has been around for 25 years but became a nonprofit organization in 2008. The organization’s mission is to serve and promote health and wellness in diverse communities through education, advocacy and access. The organization carries out its mission by providing free health fairs and health-topic education in North Texas and Tarrant County. The organization partners with several colleges and medical centers to make this possible including Tarrant County College’s medical program, Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center and the University of North Texas’s medical program and more.
