It’s almost the “merry, merry month of May,” which means warmer weather, blooming flowers and a special day dedicated to unity and faith.
This day, known as the National Day of Prayer, is recognized on the first Thursday of May every year to celebrate the importance of prayer. In Azle, the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance hosts the free annual gathering, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Orchard Event Venue, 1421 Northwest Parkway.
“We're excited about National Day of Prayer coming up,” AAMA Board President Alton Davis told The Azle News. “It's just been a blessed time over the years for our community to come together.”
