Local governments see $1.1B in sales tax revenue

The Texas Comptroller’s office sent cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for April, 10.5% more than in April 2025.

These allocations are based on sales made in February by businesses that report tax monthly.
