With our busy lives, it’s not always easy to find the time to volunteer — but what if we could give back to our community without having to leave our home?

JustServe, a free, user-friendly website and app, does just that by connecting volunteers with nonprofit, community and government organizations in need of help. Launched in 2012, this platform serves as a “Google of service,” allowing individuals, families and groups the opportunity to find local or virtual projects based on their interests, skills and availability.

“Back in the beginnings of the web world, a couple of programmers got together to provide services for individuals to find opportunities to serve across a myriad number of different places — but they didn’t know how to connect them,” JustServe specialist and Springtown resident Ron Pepperman said during the Azle Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon April 7. “What we’ve done is provide a single place where any individual can find something to do — even several thousand miles away, because there are remote opportunities to serve for those who have issues that prevent them from getting out into society or away from their house.”
