It can seem rather intimidating to visit a church you’ve never been to before — even more so if you’re new to the area — but the Azle Church of Christ has come up with a way to make that experience a little less daunting and a lot more enjoyable.

On Sunday, May 3, the church will host a “Come and See” event for new guests at 336 Northwest Parkway. Bible classes for all ages begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by worship at 10:30 a.m.

Pastor J.J. Hendrix told The Azle News the event was inspired by the invitation “Come and See” that’s mentioned in scripture, specifically John 1:39, where two of John the Baptist’s disciples were curious about Jesus. He invited them to “come and see” where he was staying, and they spent the day with him.
