A hilarious evening of basketball — played, of course, donkeyback — not only provided entertainment for a big crowd in the Azle High School Fine Arts gym, but it also raised money to ensure 2026 AHS graduates have a free, safe, all-night celebration after they receive their diplomas.
Coach Tyler Harrison served as MC for the evening, and the games could not have been played without the Poop Scoop Crew of Rebel Yale and Casey Thornton and Rodeo Clown Braxton Preston.
Four teams, representing Azle High School, Azle Junior High, Silver Creek Elementary and Liberty Elementary vied for the donkey basketball championship, but it was the Silver Creek Elementary team — the Creek Freaks — who came out victorious.
