The Azle community honored the legacy of Azle Junior High one last time during the Azle Junior High Campus Tour & Walk Down Memory Lane April 27. During the event, former students, teachers and members of the community walked down the halls, touring AJH one last time and reminiscing about the moments shared at the original campus.
After the campus tour and walk down memory lane concluded, alumni who graduated in the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s met up at the football field behind the school, where they walked the field and took a group photo.
The original campus was built in 1953 and is being replaced with a new sixth-eighth grade campus; both existing gyms will continue to be utilized. The new building will be ready before the new school year starts in August.
