Cross Timbers Golf Course was buzzing Wednesday, May 13, as 78 amateur and professional golfers competed in a 36-hole qualifier for the 81st U.S. Women’s Open Championship.

The prestigious qualifying event brought players from across the globe to Azle, with competitors representing Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Italy, the Republic of Korea, Australia, China, India, Mexico, France and throughout the United States.

The field competed for two qualifying spots and two alternate positions in the 81st U.S. Women’s Open, scheduled for June 4-7 at The Riviera Country Club.
