The Azle Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its 21st annual golf tournament fundraiser Friday, May 15 at Cross Timbers Golf Course, drawing a full field of 30 teams and 120 golfers for one of the chamber’s largest fundraising events to date.

The four-person scramble tournament completely filled the course, marking the maximum number of golfers the facility could accommodate. Players enjoyed ideal spring weather for the 1 p.m. shotgun start as businesses, community members and sponsors gathered for an afternoon focused on networking, competition and supporting chamber projects.

Tournament organizers added plenty of entertainment throughout the course, including longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests, prize drawings and the popular “heckle hole” at No. 12, where golfers could pay to avoid playful trash talk from volunteers stationed along the tee box.
