Marking another banner year in Azle ISD

As we near the end of another incredible school year, I find myself reflecting on all our students have achieved. They’ve enjoyed great success in the classroom and on the stage, court and field. Everyone, at all grade levels, developing our Portrait of a Hornet traits — integrity, communication, resilience, passion and collaboration — to help ensure they are prepared for college, career and life.

A big thanks to our teachers, staff, parents, grandparents, business leaders and community partners for supporting our Hornet Family. Your support and commitment to Azle ISD is critical to the success of our more than 7,100 students and in helping us carry out our mission of “making a difference to every child, every chance, every day.”

To our graduating seniors, congratulations! The Class of 2026 is currently at $8.2 million in scholarships and grants, with a big part of this coming from our generous Azle ISD community. A special shoutout to Emily O’Neill, valedictorian, and Nathan Barnes, salutatorian. To our 450 graduates, whether you are heading to college or trade school, entering the workforce, enlisting in military service, or charting your own unique path, know that your Hornet Family is cheering you on. You carry with you the values, knowledge, skills and friendships that will serve you for a lifetime.
