Public Services Recognition Week proclaimed in Azle
Azle Mayor Pro Tem Stacy Peek proclaimed the week of May 3-9 Public Services Recognition Week in the city of Azle during a regular city council meeting Tuesday, May 5. The week honors federal, state, county, local and tribal government employees who strengthen communities and fuel democracy. Celebrated annually during the first full week of May since 1985, it highlights the dedication of public servants who deliver essential services. Pictured commemorating the event are city employees (l-r): Sgt. Eric Scheid, Officer Chad Krueger, Officer Chris Javarone, Lt. Dora Grisham, Officer Joseph Giitinger, Mayor Pro Tem Stacy Peek, Animal Control Supervisor Jessie Williams and Ranger, who Williams personally adopted from the Azle Animal Shelter, dispatch supervisor Valerie Keith, dispatcher Zoie Garnica, Public Services Director Rick White, Azle Memorial Library Director Curren McLane, Assistant Library Director Victor Gonzalez, Director of Planning and Development David Hawkins, Human Resources Director Cat Schlueter, City Secretary Yael Hoffman and Assistant Fire Chief Lee Godbold.
