The FAM (Faith + Art + Music) Festival will take place Saturday, May 30, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Main Street Shops and Azle Christian Church. The festival will feature the outdoor Exhibit of Hope Art Exhibition and Auction in front of Azle Christian Church and will display artwork from the community inspired by the themes of faith, hope and love. Attendees can view and bid on original artwork during the silent auction portion of the event. All proceeds from the art auction will benefit local nonprofits P.R.A.I.S.E Worship and Future Hope & Healing Center.
During the festival, attendees will receive a passport and visit several shops on Main Street. The shops will have activities for attendees and will host and display the artwork of up-and-coming and professional artists including artists from The Sacred Fine Arts of Texas. Participating shops include Pro Libertate Coffee Co, 199 Winery, Onward Arms, Mandala Elemental Wonders, CRush Boutique, Hope’s Bazaar, The Music Centre and the Azle Historical Museum.
“There's going to be a lot of first-time artists showcasing, and we want to support that because in building an arts community, you don't only want to support the professionals, but (also) the pipeline. If you encourage the youth, encourage the children, then they become the artists, and we want to do that,” Yesenia “Yesi” Guerrero Massarella, creator and organizer of the festival and owner of MASTERpiece Paint Party and Art Studio, said.
