Three Azle High School seniors in the Career and Technical education department’s residential and commercial construction program took their next steps toward a successful career after graduation by signing official letters of intent with local contractors and union representatives during Crane Signing Day May 13.

The students include Bryce Womack, who signed with Davis Crane Service; Carlos Garcia, who signed with Mazim Crane Works; and Mathew Gilmore, who signed with Bulldog Crane and Rigging. The students will be hired by the companies after graduation and upon completion of basic certification requirements.

The residential and commercial construction program is one of many CTE career clusters offered for AHS students. Students start the CTE pathway by taking principals of construction and then taking mill and cabinet making. Finally, they take entrepreneurship 1 and practicum of construction.
