As the 2025-26 school year comes to a close, Azle ISD Director of Athletics Michael Sain reflected on a year filled with challenges, accomplishments and continued growth across Hornet athletics.
Sain, who was hired by Azle ISD in January 2024 after serving as assistant athletic director at Prosper ISD, sat down recently to discuss the school year, summer programming and the future of Azle athletics.
“Professionally, it was probably one of the more challenging school years of my entire career,” Sain said.
