The board of trustees for the Azle Independent School District met Monday, May 18 at the administration building at 300 Roe St in Azle.

Trustees Sara Bennett, who ran unopposed to defend her Place 2 seat, and Dr. Brenda Reed, who was also unopposed in her bid for reelection to Place 1, each took the oath of office. Both Bennett and Reed will serve a three-year term in office.

Per policy, after all trusteed for duly seated, the board conducted an election of officer for the upcoming year. The board chose to reelect the same leadership as last year: Bill Lane in Place 5 will serve as president; Tim Brown in Place 3 will serve as vice president; and Bennett in Place 2 will serve as secretary.
